Mission Vejo Lake 11.20.10

Woke up to a cold and rainy morning and decided to head out to Mission Viejo Lake. Got to the lake around 6:15am and was surprise to see that the lake was empty. Jumped in my rental boat and headed to the first dock. Casted out my green Lil Ripperz and within minutes I hooked up. For those who fished this morning should all have an epic day. Caught my limit within 30 mins and called it a day at 6:45am. Dustin and Josh you missed out.

Preparing for the Trout Opener @ Mission Viejo Lake

The Time is Almost Here !!!!

Fall colors are in the air and so is the anticipation of rainbow trout fast approaching Lake Mission Viejo!
The 32nd Annual LMVA Trout Opener is scheduled for Saturday, November 20 at 6 a.m. Anglers will find 10,000 pounds of beautiful trout, hungry for a variety of lures and bait. For the first time in several years, the “opener fish” will travel from Mt. Lassen Fish Hatchery in northern California. The Lassen team will be stocking LMV with the “Sierra Bow” strain of feisty rainbows. Mt. Lassen Trout's Sierra Rainbow is a beautiful, richly colored, full-finned, ruby red meat rainbow trout. These fish are the closest thing you will find to a truly wild rainbow trout. When the trout first arrive, during the week prior to Opening Day, the lake will be closed to fishing until the Saturday morning season opener. The “no fishing” period allows the trout time to acclimate to LMV waters and prepare to do battle with the LMV's skillful anglers.

Irvine Lake 11.14.10

Was able to take the kayak out this morning to Irvine Lake for a few hours. Started the morning trolling around the marina with absolutely NO LUCK. Then decided to head towards Woody's Cove and that was where I was able to land this Beautiful 6lb TROUT.

Woodbridge Lake 10.2.10

Stopped by the local lake at lunch to fish with a couple of co-workers. Fished for roughly 20mins and was able to land a small bass on a drop shot.

Kayak Fishing Seal Beach 10.31.10

Headed out to Seal Beach this morning to test out my new GoPro HD camera.
